Only adults who are listed on the roster or have a valid CJSA pass (from any team or club) should be allowed on the coaches’ sideline. There is a maximum of four adults on the coaches’ sideline. If an adult is not on the roster or in possession of a pass, he/she should not be allowed on the coaches’ sideline unless there are no credentialed adults present. In such cases, one adult may attend the players. For RecPlus, there are no passes. The coach must be listed on the roster.
Rosters – Classic Travel
Prior to the start of the match, team managers should provide a copy an approved roster to the referee and, if requested, to the opponent’s manager. An approved roster bears the watermark “APPROVED” across the face of the document.
The referee should note that the roster matches the competition (e. g. U12 Girls) and that it is not a pool roster. If a pool roster is presented, the team manager must cross out players not participating such that the number of named players does not exceed the allowed maximum. Such rosters should be emailed to
The following mandates may not be exceeded:
For U9 & 10 maximum 12 on a roster. Play 7 v 7. Two 25 minute halves.
For U11 & U12 maximum 16 on a roster. Play 9 v 9. Two 30 minute halves.
For U13 to U16 maximum 25 on a roster. Play 11 v 11. Two 40 minute halves.
For U17 and older maximum 25 on a roster. Play 11 v 11. Two 45 minute halves.
If no approved roster is provided, the manager must create a manual roster with player names and birth dates. The CJSA form for a game day roster is suitable (see attachment).
Rosters – RecPlus
The roster must be generated from the CJSA system (excel spreadsheets and similar are not valid). The roster may be “Unapproved” or “For in-house use only”. It is a pool roster. Any player who participates must be listed. No guest players unless listed on a CJSA roster.
Prior to the start of the match, player passes should be inspected by the referee and, if requested, by the opponent’s manager. If passes are not provided, the players must sign the roster and such roster should be emailed to
. No guest players are permitted.
SWD League rosters will be frozen on October 29, 2017.
For U11 & U12; two 30 minute halves, if tied two 10 minute overtime periods, if tied kicks from the mark. The higher seeded team is the home team.
For U13 & U15; two 35 minute halves, if tied two 10 minute overtime periods, if tied kicks from the mark. The higher seeded team is the home team.
For U11 & U12; two 30 minute halves, if tied co-champions are declared. NO overtime or kicks from the mark. The higher seeded team is the home team.
For U13 & U15; two 40 minute halves, if tied co-champions are declared. NO overtime or kicks from the mark. The higher seeded team is the home team.
Center referees are assigned by the district with the assistance of club assignors. Referee fees are shared by both teams playing;
For U11 & U12; $65.00 for center referees and $45.00 for assistant referees, $77.50 per team.
For U13 & U15; $70.00 for center referees and $50.00 for assistant referees, $85.00 per team.
The rate is the same for all games. Host clubs may assign a fourth official if they wish, the host club pays for the fourth official. Referees will be paid on the field and no later than half-time.
Each travel division in a league (U11 and up) shall conduct playoffs in the fall season. The top four teams in each division will enter the playoffs. The following format for the playoffs will be used: semifinals 1v4, 2v3; the winners proceed to the finals. The 1v4 game will always precede the 2v3 game at all venues, unless multiple venues are being used for those two games. There will be nochanges to the schedule because of conflicts. Trophies will be awarded to the finalists. All protests will follow the SWD protest guidelines which are on the SWD website. Issues that arise before the game is played will go to the Playoff Committee. SCORES SHOULD BE SENT TO THE LEAGUE COMMISSIONER UPON COMPLETION OF THE MATCH BY BOTH TEAMS.

If the referee terminates a semi-final match due to weather or darkness, the semi final game will be played Sunday (in place of the final) and the final will be rescheduled. Terminated matches must be replayed in their entirety.
Remind teams to bring money, alternate jerseys and game balls to the field.
